The Liber Primodius
Pandora Raven — Album 8: Pandora Raven

The Liber Primodius

"She heals him — not because she has to."

[Intro — Pandora sees him through the fracture] He is in the south Far from the castle Far from where the light went wrong But the wrong light found him anyway She can see it Starting at the edges The way corruption starts Quiet Then not

[Verse 1 — she crosses to him] She does not know his name yet She only knows what she sees A man at the end of something Kneeling in the wrong-colored dark

She knows this dark She has been watching it spread since the cradle fell

She reaches through the fracture She does not ask permission She puts both hands on what is wrong and pulls

[Pre-Chorus] And the light she carries the clean violet light the kind that was always hers before it was anything else does what it was made to do

[Chorus] She heals him Not because she has to Not because she knows what he is yet She heals him because something in her already does

And when he opens his eyes He looks at her And says You survived

[Verse 2 — the reunion, what he sees] He does not see Pandora He sees Adonpra He sees the face of the woman who sent him away to live who said go where I cannot follow who gave him the only miracle she had left

And she is here She survived She is here

And she lets him believe it for a moment because he has been carrying this for longer than she has words for

And then she says Not exactly

[Pre-Chorus 2] She gives him only a few explanations She does not have many left to give She tells him what matters and stops before the grief undoes the healing

[Chorus] She heals him Not because she has to Not because she knows what he will carry She heals him because she knows now what she is

And when she takes his hands to cast the spell he does not pull away

He has been waiting to be found again for a very long time

[Bridge — the spell, the book, the mission] She speaks the words that make him Keeper Across the years Across the centuries Across the distance between now and whenever she arrives

You will sleep she says You will wake when you feel something that feels like this Like her Like the light Like the moment someone puts both hands on what is wrong in you and pulls

He nods He has always been hers

Then she opens the book The Liber Primordius

She puts it in his hands She says: Give this to the next one like me

And she means: Give it back next time we meet

[Final Chorus] She heals him She names him Keeper She gives him the book to carry She gives him a mission to last three hundred thousand years

She heals him Not because she has to Because she already loves what he will become

Because she already knows how the story ends

Because she has already received the book from his hands

[Outro] And then she is gone The way she came Through the fracture Back to the other side of time

And he is standing In the south With the book And the mission And three hundred thousand years ahead of him

He only knows: when she feels like that again he will find her And give it back He has already promised
